Old School House

Date built:1968
Original name:Binburra
Principal:
John Pascoe

In1968 a new headmaster's residence was built. It served as residence for the first Headmaster, Mr John Pascoe in 1969 as he moved in with his wife and five children. It stood a kilometre from the school and providing accommodation for them until 1969. Over the years, subsequent headmasters and their families lived there. By 1997 the School House found new purpose, housing the Yarra Parents & Friends and Yarra Music associations, and the Development office, along with archives, storage and other offices. Changes in usage continued with the building accommodating the AGSV executive office and later serving as the home for the Second-Hand Uniform Department. In 2015 the Development staff moved out, making room for meetings while the archivist's office and materials remained.

Fun Fact: 5 Headmasters and their families lived in the School House between 1969 and 1997.
